Cops rescue Bengal woman forced into prostitution, arrest 2 for sex trafficking

Two people were arrested on charges of trafficking a woman and her four-year-old child in West Bengal's South 24 Parganas district on Saturday. One of the accused sold the woman and her child to an agent in Delhi for a huge sum, CID sources said.

The Crime Investigation Department of West Bengal Police arrested two people on charges of sex trafficking on Sunday. The accused befriended a woman over the phone and sold her off with her 4-year-old child.

One of the accused, identified as Samsul Sk alias Saddam, befriended the 24-year-old woman on the pretext of marrying her, CID sources told India Today.
