A 33-year-old Gresham man was arrested as part of a human trafficking mission that took 10 men into custody.
Cheldon A. Chriestenson was taken into custody during a Portland Police Bureau and Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office joint-mission Tuesday, Sept. 12. The men arrested, ranging from ages 25-51, agreed to purchase sex from undercover law enforcement officers posing as trafficked women. One man even agreed to purchase sex from an officer posing as a 15-year-old victim.
During the arrests, law enforcement seized cash, cell phones and a firearm.
The man who attempted to purchase sex with a minor, Heriberto Marin-Marin, 33, of Vancouver, was booked into the Multnomah County Detention Center on charges of purchasing sex with a minor and commercial sexual solicitation. The other men, including Gresham’s Chriestenson, were issued criminal citations for commercial sexual solicitation. They must report to court at a future date.
The others cited were Travis L. Knoy, 25, of Milwaukie; Kyle L. Hanson, 50, of Portland; Matthew G. Barber, 50, of Maple Valley, Washington; Aleksandr S. Beglets, 35, of Portland; Stephen J. Hanlon, 51, of Portland; Nathan P. Strickland, 36, of Portland; Dmytro Peter Narolskyi, 31, of Vancouver; and Dion M. Webster, 27, of Portland.
